I was not able to contribute in the early stages of development as I was active in another project, however I was able to join midway and help the team on both design and programming.

Level Design

  • First task in the project was to design a maze with no rest zones or visual decals to help the player escape.

  • Made a maze with a maze generator tool and installed different entrances and exits.

  • Includes about 25 pandas of different colors.

  • All items randomized.

  • A very cool design task and very interesting to program as well.

  • Bamboo bomb served as a throwable projectile that would attract the horde of zombies in the area, crowd controlling them for a few seconds before letting go back to their original areas.

  • Changed the original design a bit by allowing all pandas in the area (even if they were behind walls) to run towards the bamboo. Also added pulsing functionality that kept calling for pandas to run at the item every few ticks in case some of them just got into the bamboo range.
